Is Juvederm right for me?

There is no perfect candidate for Juvederm. Any patient of any age can benefit from one or many of the products in the Juvederm suite. What is a Juvederm treatment like?

Juvederm is a minimally-invasive, non-surgical procedure that is done while the patient is awake. The treatment is not painful because the numbing agent lidocaine is an active ingredient in Juvederm fillers; however, the patient may feel slight pinching when the needle is inserted. If needed, Dr. Miller can apply local anesthesia or a topical numbing cream to ease discomfort. Dr. Miller uses a very thin needle to administer the Juvederm directly under the skin. The amount of filler used and its exact placement is determined by the scope of correction desired. Though it may not seem like it, there is a great deal of artistry and skill involved in filler treatments. Recovery from Juvederm

There is no downtime necessary for Juvederm treatments. It is important to avoid strenuous physical activity for a day or two, and avoid saunas, hot tubs, tanning beds, hot showers, and excessive heat in general. Some patients experience the following side effects, though they subside in a few days.
