This is an outpatient procedure done while the patient is awake. First, a topical numbing cream is applied to the skin. After about 45 minutes, Dr. Miller uses the Cutera tool to treat the specific problem areas of the skin, which takes between 15-30 minutes depending on the level of correction needed.
